Podcast cover design for WHYY featuring prolific street artist's in Philadelphia.
I started out creating the characters and you can see the evolution of where it started. I liked to use a ball point pen sometimes to make permanent marks and not have to rely on an eraser. This makes my line and ideas more confident and also gets you those happy accidents in design.
I made the title by hand using a chisel tipped Sharpie marker. I did not want to waste time and look for a stock photo that would fit the artwork so I went outside and took photos myself. I used about 5 photos, but took around 70 photos to get the right shot I needed.
